Event Planning: where to start (part one)



Good planning is a continuous process and good plans should be adaptable and flexible- they require a solid foundation and a straightforward structure. It is good to note that the planning process is one of the most important aspects in successful event management: the more robust the plan, the smoother the journey to success.
The scope of event planning covers the following areas:
o   The event concept formulation
o   Communicating the vision and the mission of the propose event
o   Setting smart objective
o   SWOT analysis application: determining the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the event
o   Choosing the date and venue
Hence, perfection of all these areas determines how successful event will be. The success of an event depends on efficient planning process. Adequate measure must be taken to place in order of importance and all former aforementioned areas of event planning must be well defined and executed
The goal of event planning is very simple and its objective stems on maximizing the use of the event resource to achieve astonishing success. Planning goes beyond goals setting but need scientific application, formulation and implementation of feasible ideas capable to yield beyond expected results.
